This heirloom christening gown has a drape and quality that needs to be held and touched to be believed and appreciated.  The gown is made of a high quality crepe polyester satin stripe with a gold thread that runs through and glistens. 

The yoke has been painstakingly pleated and hand-embroidered to create a complete satin yoke.  This is finished off with matching cording and a small bow at the centre front.  The rich satin stripe cascades luxuriantly from the yoke.    The gown fastens at the back with beautifully hand stitched button loops and small mother of pearl buttons. 

The gown has long sleeves with elasticated casings at the wrist.  The hem has been turned and invisibly hand stitched.

This christening gown is finished off with a beautiful hand made bonnet, fully gathered into a back bonnet section and ruffled at the front.  Similar gowns can be designed by special order.
